How to read tarot cards series–The Hermit (Major Arcana)

I like to read tarot cards and interpret them. I like the fact that many tarot cards have positive meanings and serve as reminders which bring out the best in us. Tarot cards are definitely not evil. Tarot Decks are simply tools which allow us to get in touch with our subconsious minds. The encouragement i obtain from tarot cards are so much. And very often, i feel that tarot meanings are really amazing. They seem to describe me at a particular time. Take for today’s tarot card, which we will be discussing soon—The Hermit. It basically suggests that Querent may need some time off to himself/herself, which is what i really need now. Sometimes, when the world gets too insane, one just need some time off to clear thoughts. It sounds intiuitive but pretty hard to achieve in today’s fast-paced society.

Tarot Story

The Fool had been busy with his life and has built, created, fought and compromised. He feels very tired and need to retreat. He started living in a small and rustic home in the woods where he reads and hides. Every night, he set out and travel across the bare landscape and carries only a staff and a lantern.

The walks may have seen restless and without purposes. However, the Fool can see and realize things he had missed out in his life. He begins to discover things he never knew existed. In this manner, he becomes the Fool again as he was in the beginning

Tarot meaning

House of Tarot
This tarot card basically indicates that this is not a time for mixing around with people and instead there is a desire for peace and solitude. It is also the time to think and organize thoughts. The Hermit represents a wise person who can be a friend or teacher of the Querent. These people may help the Querent find what he or she has been seeking.

The Hermit is depicted as a person who’s moving along. The Hermit is never locked away in a confined space or cell but rather is left to wander. The tarot card encourages the Querent to go ahead and have his or her own time off to himself or herself. This period of self-reflection will be time well-spent.
